Obverse: Upon an anchor the arms of the Society crowned, a lion couchant above. Legend: 'SAUVETEURS DE LA MEDITERRANEE L'EMPEREUR PROTECTEUR' (inner line) 'SAUVER OU PERIR'. Reverse: Within a wreath of laurel tied with a ribbon, Legend: 'SOCIETE FONDEE A BEAUCAIRE PAR JACQUES FOSSE 25 XBRE. 1862. Inscription: 'ALFRED PAZ ACTES DE DEVOUEMENT 1866'. Fitted with a ring and tricolour ribbon.
