Mug
A large earthenware mug, transfer-printed in blue with a painted brown rim. It has a a circular portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) in uniform on one side inscribed below 'LORD NELSON', and a matching portrait of Vice-Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood (1750-1810) inscribed 'LORD COLLINGWOOD' on the other, both surrounded by laurel wreaths. Opposite the square handle is a wreath containing a thistle, rose, shamrock, gun, anchor and pre-1801 Union Flag with the inscription below 'TRAFALGAR'. There is a border around the outside rim of laurel and foul anchors, and an inside border of seashells.
