Jug
Earthenware jug, transfer-printed in blue with overall scroll and flower designs with floral borders inside and out. On one side an oval portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) with short curly hair within the inscription 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERYMAN WILL DO HIS DUTY', 'ADML LORD NELSON'. On the other side, Vice-Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood (1750-1810), also with short hair inscribed 'ADML LD COLLINGWOOD'. Below the lip 'HMS Victory' under sail, inscribed 'VICTORY', 'OFF TRAFALGAR OCTR 21 1805'.
