Obverse: Bird's-eye view of the Dardanelles with forts and galleys defending it and troops in foreground. Legend: "ITALIE.CLASSIARIVS.SVM". Reverse: view of Venice, the Doge's Palace, Campanile and St.Mark's behind, the lion of St.Mark rampant in foreground. Legend: "DARDANELLI.18.19.LVGLIO.1912". Exergue: "VENEZIA 1913". Presented to all Italians in Venice who took part int the action of the Dardanelles on April 25 1913 St.Marks Day. Fitted with a loop and ring.
