Uniface badge. Within an oak garland similar to U30, a viking ship with single sail set (gilt), resting on the Pole of the Northern Hemisphere (iron). Reverse Inscription: "R.S." [Auxiliary cruisers were armed merchant ships and their crews obtained badges in April 1941. A special badge with diamonds was awarded for exceptional merit]. Fitted with a pin.
