Marine Corps Service Medal 1908
Obverse: Liberty, helmeted, girl with a sword holding in her right hand an olive branch and in her left the American flag, a Cuban man seated below, dove of peace above. Tropical scene in background. Legend: "CUBAN PACIFICATION 1908". An eagle with wings outspread perched on an anchor; below a wreath of oak and bay tied with a bow. Legend: "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS". Inscription: "FOR SERVICE". Inscription on edge: "1459". Fitted with a ring and a khaki ribbon bordered with narrow red, white and blue stripes.
