Jug

Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with a profile of Admiral of the Fleet, Adam Duncan (1731-1804) to the left of the handle, inscribed 'ADMIRAL DUNCAN' on a blue sash. In the background, a green sea and dolphin's heads with ships to left and right. On the other side a profile portrait of Admiral Sir Henry Trollope (1756-1839). He faces right, wearing a blue sash inscribed 'CAPTAIN TROLOP' with green coloured sea behind. There is a female figure to the left holding a trumpet and scroll, and a ship to the right. Both naval officers have orange coats, light brown hair and dark brown hats. The neck of the jug is moulded with a fruiting vine and the base with a pattern of laurel leaves.
