Second China War Medal 1857-60
Obverse: Head of Queen Victoria with a diadem, hair tied in a knot (L). Legend: "VICTORIA REGINA". Reverse: at the foot of a palm tree a trophy of flags, cannon, the royal shield, a capstan, etc. (I) Legend: "ARMIS EXPOSCERE PACEM". Exergue "CHINA". Bars: "TAKU FORTS 1860", "PEKIN 1860". Inscription on edge: "J.S.WATTS. H.M.S. RINGDOVE. 1859-61". Mounted on a brooch bar with MED1092.
