Badge: Order of the Sacred Treasure, 3rd class
Badge: Cross of twenty gold rimmed white enamel swords of descending length inward. Centre medallion consists of eight pointed silver star on a blue enamel background surrounded by a gold border. Encircling this is an irregularly shaped collar of sixteen rubies, eight small, eight large. This Decoration is symbolic of the treasures bequeathed by the first Emperor of Japan (Emperor Jimmu) to his successor; a mirror (centre), collar (rubies), swords (rays). Badge suspended from watered silk pale blue ribbon with a yellow stripe near each edge. In lacquered wood box of issue. Awarded to Captain Henry George Giffard RN in 1919.
