Tile
One of a pair of tiles AAA4500-AAA4501, transfer-printed in reddish brown with a scene of the sailor's return. He is dressed in fine clothes and is dropping gold coins and a watch into his girl's apron. A wagon is shown in the background. L. P. Boitard's 'Sailors Farewell' and 'Return' of 1744 shows the return from Anson's Voyage with the wagons in the background filled with treasure captured from the Acapulco Galleon 'Nuestra Senora de Covadonga' on their way to the mint in London.
