Surveying compass

Early compass. Mounted in an ebony frame inlaid with ivory. The card is in MS with the names of the 32 points in German and surrounded by an ivory circle divided into 360 degrees. The south side of the square is graduated from 0 - 100 and in the SW corner is an arc of 90 degrees. Contained in its original pearwood case. Quadrantal in degrees.
