Bowl: Dia. 7.5" (19.0 cm) Domed glass bowl surmounted by a red and gold painted metal Royal Crown (damaged) with a gimbal suspension at top.

Card: Dia. 5.5" (14.0 cm) Paper card (top) black with white markings. Graduated to 32 points with a decorated East point. (Bottom) White with red, black & yellow markings. Decorated with emblematic figures of the Planets and scene of ship and figures at centre. Graduated to 32 points with a decorated East point. A brass pivot cap is mounted at centre.

Needle: Length 5.5" (14.0 cm) Two parallel needles mounted on upper surface of card.

Pivot: Brass pivot stem 3.0" (7.6 cm) long attached at centre of base of domed glass bowl.
