Mariner's compass

Bowl-Dia. 7.25" (18.4cm) Green painted wood, glazed with detachable base. Inside of bowl painted white.
Card-Dia. 5.5" (14cm) White paper (?) with black, gold, red and yellow markings. Graduated to 32 points and quadrantally in degrees. Has emblems representing the Planets: Jupiter; Mars; Mercury; Venus; Saturn; sun and Moon. Decorated E & W points. a brass pivot cap is mounted at centre.
Needle-Said to have two needles bent in form of a "diamond" attached to underside of card.
