Mariner's compass
Depth with lid 0.25" (10.9cm). Circular lid, dull brass case. Straight bare needle on pin mounting. Engraved and enamelled metal rose. Graduated quadrantally every 10 degs on flat surface, and on raised outer rim 1/2 -360 degs. Vertical surface of outer rim also engraved to facilitate taking of bearings. Two brackets for screwing compass to horizontal surface.
