Overhead compass

Bowl-Dome glass bowl, glazed top. Mounted in brass gimbal ring 6.75" (17.1cm) diameter with suspension ring for overhead mounting.
Card-Dia. 5" (12.7cm) Top paper card, white with black markings. Graduated to 32 points and quadrantally in degrees, decorated East point. Bottom, white with red, yellow and black markings. Graduated to 32 points and quadrantally in degrees. Brass pivot cap mounted at centre. Six sealing wax blobs for balance are attached to top of card.
Needle-Length 5" (12.7cm) Flat type in form of diamond attached to top of card.
Pivot-Brass pivot mounted at centre of bowl.
