Gyrocompass repeater

Brass bowl containing electric motor for driving compass card. Electrical connections concealed beneath plate in base. Two lamp holder fittings on either side of bowl. Adjustment control at side, protected by screw cap. Set in brass gimbal ring.
Compass card graduated: outer ring 0-180, 0-180 with additional set of mirror image figues, black on white background; inner ring 0-360 with additional set of miror image figures white on black background and inner band marked at cardinal and half-cardinal points with decorated North point and ship's head marked with black painted triangle.
