Register-Cylindrical brass body with distances indicated by a pointer on a circular enamel dial, graduated 0-100. A brass shoe is fitted at end of body enabling attachment to taffrail.
Rotator-Cylindrical brass body 2" (5cm) diameter with four brass fins. A towing eye is fitted to the tapered end.
The two pieces of apparatus are connected by the Regulator consisting of a rope bridle which has a wooden crossbar at centre.
