Currency balance
The balance consists of a steel arm with a hook on each end from which are suspended two brass pans 1.4" (3.6cm) dia. by three fine cords. A vertical index arm is attached to the centre of the beam and a suspension arm carries the balamce on a knife-edge bearing.
