Gunner's quadrant

This Gunner's quadrant is used to help determine the elevation of a gun barrel. It is fitted with a spirit level and five hinged sights. The front is signed 'Dominicus Lusuerg F Romae Anno 1695'. The reverse has an adjustable mounting for a support pole and is enscribed 'Pro Elevatione Bombardae'.
Front fitted with sights and pivotted alidade.
Engraved with 90 deggres scale and 90 grid .
Designede to be used on a pole mounting.
