Radio direction finder
Radio direction finder.
It was designed to obtain bearings from radio-beacon transmissions.
The instrument has three wave-bands:
Long wave, medium wave & Trawler band.
The Front panel of the instrument carries the tuning control , volume control, wave-change switch, and on/off switch. There are also two sockets for aerial and earth conections, and socket for headphones.
The loop is set into the top of the instrument within the loop scale index, which has 2 graduations from 0-360 degrees.
Power supply is from batteries.
A pair of hearphones is provided although their use is optional.
