Distance meter

Frame: brass, with brass fittings. Wooden handle at back.
Index arm: glass, perp. adj. by screw at back of mirror.
Arm: flat section with a spring connecting arm to frame.
Micrometer drum: white plastic (?) with brass milled knob at centre. Graduated 0-10 and read against a white plastic (?) plate (vernier) graduated 0-12, attached to frame. The drum turns a threaded spindle which passes through a brass block fitted with a wing-nut clamp screw, and bears on an adjustable thrust block attached to end of index arm.
Horizon mirror: perp. adj. by square headed screw on mirror mounting plate.
Telescope bracket: fixed.
Telescopes: 1. x 3.75" (9.5cm) , 1 x 2.75" (7cm) inverting eyepiece tube.
1 x brass tube 1.9" (5cm), 1 x double-ended key, 1 x scewdriver, 1 x spare spring for index arm, 2 x spare mirrors, 1 x brass disc which clamps on top of wooden handle at back of instrument, the upper surface is covered with white plastic (?) and the outer rim is graduated 10-100 clockwise while the inner part which rotates within the outer rim is graduated 10-100 anti-clockwise.
In fitted wooden box 8.25 x 7 x 4.75" (21 x 17.8 x 12 cm).
