Seekreiselsextant 2D

The sextant has a casing of aluminium and artificial materials, housing optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup.

The instrument has a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 10 arcminutes, and a vernier measuring to 1 arcminute.

The instrument is contained in a square fitted wooden carrying case containing four shades, one red, two grey, and a missing one. Also inside the case is a battery charger, with two batteries missing, six light bulbs, a plastic suspension strap, and instructions for use in German. The case is marked on the side, ‘5185’.
