Seekreiselsextant 2D

The sextant has a casing of aluminium and artificial materials, housing optical equipment, a clockwork averaging mechanism with the winding knob missing, electrical equipment, and a rubber eyecup. The clamp is broken.

The instrument has a scale measuring from 0° to 80° by 10 arcminutes, and a vernier measuring to 1 arcminute.

The sextant is contained in a square fitted wooden carrying case containing four shades, three grey and one red, a battery charger, two batteries, four light bulbs, two of which are broken, a suspension strap, now missing, and instructions for use in German. The case marked on the side, ‘3384’.
