Telescopic alidade

Alidade Bar-Length 23" (58.4cm). Carries a diagonal scale at right end of bar. One edge fitted with a "parallel bar". A circular spirit level is fited at left end. Wooden knobs are fitted at each end.
Trough compass-5.75" (14.6cm) long is mounted at centre of bar. Fitted with ege bar nedle with jeweled pivot cap at centre and a needle locking mechanism. Graduated at N & S ends 0-15, 0-15 by 30 degrees.
Telescopic sight-Mounted at left end of bar. Consists of a black painted brass vertical column 6.25" (15.9cm) high on which is mounted a telescope 11" (28cm) long, erect with cross wires. A spirit level 5.5" (14cm) long is attached to underside. a vertical arc graduated on silver 0-70, 0-70 by 30 degrees with a vernier scale reading to 1'.
