Variable power telescope
The barrel of this achromatic telescope is covered in pigskin, while the other fittings are made of brass. The telescope's magnifying power can be adjusted by turning two milled rings at the eyepiece end - one to change the magnification, the other for focusing. The telescope’s pigskin case also survives although the top is now missing.
