Plate
Plate transfer-printed in blue with a symbolic scene at sea. Four officers are seated in an open boat with Britannia holding the steering oar. Neptune is shown in his sea car above, and mermen surround the vessel in the sea. Mercury and a female figure in the bow hold aloft a length of fabric which acts as a sail. The men hold banners inscribed 'NELSON', 'HOWE', 'DUNCAN' and 'JERVIS'.
