Plate
Creamware plate, transfer-printed in brown with a circular portrait inscribed 'LORD NELSON' (a poor likeness). Beneath it the verse 'Here's a health to brave Nelson!/Old England's boast/"The Hero of the Nile"/Let this be our toast.' The edge of the plate is decorated with six brown transfers of different birds sitting on twigs and touches of blue glaze.
