Creamware mug transfer-printed in black, with a portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). Inscribed 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON/Born Septr 29th 1758-Died Octr 21st 1805/Aged 47'. The item has been broken. The image of Nelson is based on the engraving by J. Chapman, published in December 1798 (see PAD3884).
