Contract for Pyramus (1810)
A 25 page contract for Pyramus (1810), a 5th Rate 36-gun frigate, between the Admiralty and Mssrs Charles Greensword and Thomas Kidwell of Itchenor near Chichester in the County of Sussex, dated 20 September 1805 and unsigned.
The contract is uncompleted from page 23. Actually the building of Pyramus was later transferred to Portsmouth Dockyard.
A small handwritten sheet of paper found in the contract says: "6 July 1809. Geo Piercy informed me he was sick. [unreadable signature]".
