No scale. A set of seven bar diagrams "showing the proportion of matter Utilised and Wasted in the Several methods of obtaining the soluble portion of Meat". The processes compared are drying, Leibig's Process, stewing and Darby's Process.

NB. Leibig's Process was developed in about 1865. The results of this process are still available today in the form of OXO cubes.
