It is transfer-printed in black with a mourning figure of Britannia holding a shield with Nelson's arms and a Viscount's coronet above. On her left is the British lion and her shield and spear. Behind her are the French and Spanish ensigns and the stern of a ship. Below the transfer is the inscription 'Britannia leaning upon his Lordship's armorial ensigns, accompanied by her Lion, protecting the Union Shield and Spear, mourns for the loss of her illustrious Hero LORD NELSON'.
