Saucer
Earthenware saucer with an ochre rim, transfer-printed in brown with an overall wave design and two pairs of tritons blowing seashells, their tails entwined. In the centre is a scallop-shaped reserve containing a ribbon inscribed 'TRAFALGAR' placed across the staff of a British ensign, flying above a gun, laurel branch and inverted foreign ensigns. The trophies are flanked by a pyramid and crocodile representing the Battle of the Nile, and a fortress representing the Battle of Copenhagen. The saucer has a border of a Greek key pattern, rose, thistle, shamrock, anchors, crossed palm and laurel branches.
