Earthenware teapot and lid, transfer-printed in brown with an overall wave design. On each side is a scallop-shaped reserve containing a ribbon inscribed 'TRAFALGAR' placed across the staff of a British ensign, flying above a gun, laurel branch and inverted foreign flags. The trophies are flanked by a pyramid and crocodile representing the battle of the Nile, and a fortress representing the battle of Copenhagen. The shell is placed between a pair of tritons blowing on seashells, their tails entwined. The teapot has a Greek key pattern border with a thistle, rose, anchors, palm and laurel branches. The teapot is a round shape with a high wavy flange and an ochre line painted around the rim and the handle. The latter is printed with a laurel pattern.
