A light brown mug, painted in overglaze enamels with an oval portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) in uniform and a cocked hat inscribed below 'ADMIRAL NELSON'. The figure is coloured in light blue, black and yellow on a dark red background, against which the masts of a ship are visible. The mug has blue painted borders.
