Jug
Toby jug in rather poor, unglazed stoneware, modelled as a half-length figure of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), in Rear-Admiral's uniform and wearing a hat. The handle is plain. The jug is similar to the Doulton types but the details are rather blurred and the surface appears to be hand finished. 'TRAFALGAR 1805/England expects every man to do his duty' (illegible). 'BS' impressed on the handle.
