Vase

Vase commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), in dark blue jasper with white applied reliefs. It has an undulating rim and is decorated on one side with a uniformed figure of a naval officer holding a speaking trumpet, with a missing right arm, intended to represent Nelson. There is a gun, anchor and flag behind him. The group is surrounded by a tree stump and foliage. On the other side, Victory holding a portrait of George III and a shield with an arrow sticking in it. The vase is also decorated with shells, flowers, foliage and rams heads.
