A modern delftware mug with a thick white glaze. It is hand-painted in colour with a portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), which has sprays of flowers on either side. It is inscribed 'IN MEMORY OF LORD NELSON'. The mug has a thick blue handle and a mottled blue rim. The maker's initials are painted on the base.
