Jug

Pratt ware jug with crisply moulded decoration in relief and a blue tinged glaze. On each side, a standing figure representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), holding a speaking trumpet in his left hand; his right arm is missing. A gun, anchor and flag are placed behind him, all enclosed in a laurel wreath with a starboard-quarter view of a ship on each side. The jug is painted in blue, yellow, green and brown and has moulded swags around the neck and floral decoration around the base. The rims are painted brown.
