Jug
Pratt ware jug with crisply moulded decoration in relief. The jug is neatly painted. Below the lip, a full-length standing figure representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), holding a speaking trumpet in his left hand; his right arm is missing. A gun, anchor and flag are placed behind him, all enclosed in a laurel wreath. On one side of the jug is a starboard-quarter view of a ship under sail. On the other side is a figure of Britannia with a lion and figures in military dress to the left and right. Clasped hands appear above. The jug has brown rims with small sprigs are painted on the neck and there is leaf decoration on the shoulder and base.
