Jug
Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. The inscriptions are moulded around the neck but not painted. In the background, the sea is painted green with a ship on either side of each portrait. The profiles are painted with black hats and blue uniforms with yellow lace. The rim of the jug is decorated with a brown line with fleur de lis moulded below. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
