Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted brown. In the background, the sea is painted green and ochre with a ship on either side of each portrait. The profiles are painted with brown hats, blue uniforms with yellow collars, lapels and epaulettes, and ochre order ribbons. The rim of the jug is decorated with a blue line. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
