Jug
Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted brown. In the background, the sea is painted green with a ship with coloured pennants and outlined sails and smoke on either side of each portrait. The profiles are painted with black hats and blue uniforms with yellow lace and order ribbons. The rim and base of the jug is decorated with a brown lines, the top is moulded with a fleur de lis border and moulded leaves are outlined in blue on the handle. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
