Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. They have blue coats with ochre lace, purple hats and unpainted order ribbons. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted brown. In the background, the sea is painted pale green with a ship on either side of each portrait. The jug has a brown rim with moulded fleur de lis. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
