Jug
Pratt ware jug crisply moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Rear-Admiral Sir Edward Berry (1768-1831). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Berry is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Berry'. They have blue coats with yellow lace, brown hats, hair and orange order ribbons. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted blue. In the background, the sea is painted with green and orange stripes. A ship with blue and orange sails and yellow pennants is placed on either side of each portrait. The jug has acanthus leaf moulding around the rim and on the scroll handle. The rim is finished with a brown painted line. Berry was Nelson's Flag Captain at the Battle of the Nile.
