Jug
Pratt ware jug poorly moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy (1769-1839). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Hardy is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Hardy'. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted brown. In the background, the sea is painted with green and ochre stripes. A ship on either side of each portrait is shown with colours in dots on the sails. The jug has a brown rim inside and out and a brown base. It is roughly painted and the yellow colour is very granular. The glaze is white.
