Mug
Pratt ware mask mug moulded as an officer's head intended to represent Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The figure is wearing an ochre coat with blue collar and lapels and has brown hair tied in a queue. The eyebrows are indicated with short brown lines, the pupils are also brown, the nostrils and mouth are painted ochre and there are round ochre dots on the cheeks. The name 'Admiral Nelson' is moulded on the band around the rim and painted in ochre. The remainder of the rim is coloured blue with a wavy foliage pattern and there are brown lines around the rim and base.
