Pink lustreware jug, painted with flower sprays. Under the lip it is transfer-printed with a hand-coloured view of the four-masted barque 'Columbus' 1824 and inscribed 'COLUMBUS, the/largest ship ever Built/Burthen 6,050 tons Breadth 50 feet 7/Lnh 301 Feet Depth 29 Feet 6inh'. To the left of the handle is the four line verse 'When This you see, remember me/And keep me in your Mind/Let all the World say what they will/Speak of me as you find.' To the right of the handle 'My heart is fix'd/I cannot range/I love my choice/Too well to change'.
