Jug
A jug decorated with bands of pink lustre at the neck and base. A hand-painted inscription in brown is placed below the lip as follows: 'Vice Adl. Vicount Lord Nelson Duke of Bronte'. On one side is a black transfer print of a ship under sail, on the other eight lines of verse within a floral garland surmounted by a sailing cutter: 'The sailor tost in stormy seas,/Though far his bark may roam,/Still hears a voice in every breeze,/That wakens thoughts of home,/He thinks upon his distant friends,/His wife, his humble cot,/And from his inmost heart ascends,/The prayer Forget me not'.
