Jug
A jug decorated with neat bands of pink lustre and uncoloured black transfers. To the right of the handle, an oval portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) surrounded by naval trophies and supported by a sailor and a figure of Britannia. It is inscribed below 'ADL. LORD NELSON', 'Born Septr 26th 1758 Died Octr 21st 1805.' The initials 'LN' are included in the transfer. On the other side a verse in a frame of thistles and roses: 'The loss of gold is great/The loss of time is more;/But losing CHRIST is such a loss,/As no man can restore.'
