A large earthenware jug, decorated with pink lustre with a hand-coloured transfer of a ship under the lip, flanked by a figure of a seaman with bales of merchandise and of Hope with an anchor. A verse is printed on either side: 'My heart is fix'd/I cannot range/I love my choice/Too well to change', 'Here's to the wind that blows/And the ship that goes,/And the boy that fears no danger/A ship in full sail/And a fine pleasant gale,/And a girl that loves a sailor.' The latter, is flanked by floral drops with transfers of two ships and two anchors above.
